AIM  
To engage in the strategic management of health and health related, scientific and technical information and the use of technology in order to promote national growth and development through the provision of such information to PAHO staff, consultants and national health personnel; 

Function as the technical memory of the PAHO/WHO Representative in Jamaica, by preserving the recorded knowledge and experience of the Organization and the countries served by the Jamaica Office, i.e. the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. 

PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE 
The Documentation Centre is housed in a small area within the Representation, and comfortably seats 8 persons.  Patrons are required to use the Documentation Centre by appointment.

COLLECTION
The collection includes PAHO and WHO documents, reports, serials, newsletters, articles, CD-ROMS, videotapes and journals, and reference tools. Documentation Centre maintains different collections relating to the work of PAHO and WHO.  Other materials collected based on relevance, and availability of storage space.

A Reserved Book Collection (RBC) with restricted circulation, is maintained.
